All African Conference of Churches (AACC)

BASIS: A fellowship of Churches that confesses according to the Scriptures and therefore seek to fulfil together their common calling to the glory of the one God, father, son and Holy spirit

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  1. To keep before the Churches and National Christian Councils the demands of the Gospel on their life and Mission, for Unity and Evangelism and for their witness and service in the society.
  2. To stimulate and promote common programmes, re-search and and experimentation, so as to assist Churches, National Christian Councils, Theological Institutions, Lay Training Centres and Christian Student Organisations, interpret and respond to the decisive action of God in Jesus Christ in terms of Africa’s Culture, experience and needs.
  3. To provide for programmes of study and research which will encourage African’s contribution to Christian thought, worship and action throughout the
  4. To assist the Churches in funding, sharing and placing personnel and utilising other resources for the most effective prosecution of their common
  5. To assist the Churches in their common work of Leadership development, Lay and Clerical, for common responsibility for liberation, justice, peace, reconciliation, human development, integrity of creation and gender
  6. To be a regional point of reference in the ‘World-wide fellowship of the Christian Church, and without prejudice to its.
  7. To promote collaboration and coordination with agencies of the World Council of Churches, of the Roman Catholic Church and of Similar bodies in such ways as may be mutually
